COACHES & GUIDES

Canberra & SNSW

Ursina Kradolfer

Not only a talented and hard-working ski instructor and ParaNordic guide, Ursina has experience of working with veterans in Switzerland and Canada; and this season, we hope, in Australia. She is a hugely important introduction to the organisation, bringing a warm yet professional demeanour to everything she does. We are truly blessed to have you onboard, Ursina.

Heather Bundy

Considering she only took up Biathlon at the same time as Curtis, in 2017, Heather has pulled out all the stops and now lives and breathes the sport, whenever her children allow (kids ruin everything!) An APSI Nordic Ski Instructor and the 2022 ADF & Navy Women’s Champion and bronze medallist at the National Women’s Masters. She was also former VESPA parabiathlete – and Australia’s first-ever visually impaired competitive biathlete – Taryn Dicken’s introductory Coach and VI Guide, as she never took her the wrong way in races (unlike other guides we might mention, Curtis) and also applies her big brain to biathlon administration, as a member of both Navy and ADF boards. In 2022 she became Navy Women’s Champion and won Bronze in the National Biathlon Championships.

ANDREW SCHOLTEN

Scholtzy is a seasoned skier, ex-President of ADF Biathlon, is APSI Nordic Ski Instructor qualified and, as anyone who knows him will tell you (particularly those ex-Royal Navy types who use such language), a Bon-ouef circullaire. He really is the epitome of the saying, “not bad for a RAAFie.”

Victoria

Cameron Moreton OLY

We are thrilled to be working with this fine Olympian Biathlete , who is currently Associate Coach to Matty Brumby. Since we were first introduced to Cam, he has been a stalwart of support to Matt’s efforts to reach the pinnacle in Parabiathlon and has proven invaluable both in his coaching and his willingness to include Matt among his charges in the youth scene.

West Australia

HANNES HOLLY

Founder of Rollerski DownUnder, Hannes has opened his books to veteran and emergency services biathletes and XC roller-skiers. Has time for anyone wishing to take part in the sport and does an excellent line in Insta posts.

South Australia

Curtis Steiger

The one on the left. Adaptive Nordic Ski and VI Guide and founder of VESPA and In-Clip Wellbeing, he is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, ADF Adaptive Sport Program Coach, Support Worker and student Counsellor. He is also the owner of the only photo… in the world of Jill Colebourn not smiling. Thinks he’s cool cos he drives an Alfa. The car, not the submarine.

JORDAN BOX

Recently qualified Teacher, Veteran, best mate of Sally and one of the sharpest people you’ll meet. Doesn’t drive an Alfa but am reliably informed he does at least actually drive something now…. at last! He is also the smartest person at VESPA and is stone-cool enough to recently present a TED Talk on Gifted Underachievers. Link here.

Tasmania

Call me, Tazzie! I have a sit skier looking for a coach.

Queensland & the NT

You two too.
