Cannot thank these people enough. After a mental illness relapse in 2024, I finally allowed myself the luxury of sucking up even more resources from another ESO by taking my wife’s advice and accepting an offer to join an event run by these fantastic people.
Among the best decisions I ever made.

Justin Hendriks (Psychologist)
Experienced in veteran and serving ADF member therapy and is highly recommended; whether for an early intervention counselling session (remember; all the research says the earlier you seek help, the better your outcome) or for deeper therapeutic needs.

Group Emotional and Relationship Skills (GEARS)
Developed from his STAIR program, GEARS was written by ex-Army Psychiatrist Dr Jon Lane. This is delivered over 12 weeks in consecutive 2-hour sessions. Cannot recommend this highly enough; particularly as a cancer is about to be removed.

You know these people are good when someone brilliant backs them to their own considerable detriment. Spawned from the original and best MESHA, they are the brain-child of my mentor in the V&ES wellbeing space.

Family & Individual Therapy
As with MESHA courses, the wonderful Karin Foxwell’s counselling resource is free to the individual. If you see her, please give her our deepest love.

Stacey Bell (Psychologist)
Another clinician with vast experience, including work with the ADF Adaptive Sports Program and a number of veteran-owned wellbeing programs.
