VESPA’s Strategic Model, shown here, has been crafted from strategic, operational and tactical aims, objectives and the over-arching goal. It has been written from strategic mapping which begins with values of the organisation and ends with assisted wellbeing and an elite competitive Parabiathlon team.
It was deemed of utmost importance to begin the entity with good governance, rather than pulling together an athlete and a set of skis, breaking both of them, and ensuring the death knell of this most serendipitous opportunity for another five or six years. This drove the founder to consider long and hard how the organisation could be held to processes which match the endeavour of the athletes, thereby giving them the best chance of success; whether that success be a new hobby, a focus to assist wellbeing, or to be an elite para-biathlete.
The processes are therefore being written from the doctrine, rather than the usual reverse-engineering of a capability that many of us are so used to witnessing.
Now, we have to walk-the-walk and make it so. We would love you to come along with us.
